Role of the Corporation in Society, a roundtable took take place on December 8, 2006. It examined the role of the corporation in society – and the role of ethics, morals, and values in the corporation.  The key speaker at this event was John Plender, Senior Editorial Writer, FT, and Author, All You Need To Know About Ethics And Finance.  We had a few key respondents, including Prof. David Miller and Prof. Jonathan Macey, a few practitioners, as well as, an audience of 20-30 participants already deeply engaged in the subject matter and drawn from across the Yale University faculty.  The information gathered from this event will create the basis for our upcoming 2007 Governance Forum and a course taught by Ira Millstein and Anne Simpson.
